Our Vision
At Brandling Primary School, we value Art as an important part of the children’s entitlement to a broad and balanced curriculum. Our intent is to provide high-quality art lessons that inspire and challenge children to ensure all children produce creative, imaginative work which will enable them to individually develop their artistic skills. Our creative scheme of work aims to inspire pupils and develop their confidence to experiment and invent their own works of art. We follow a creative curriculum which is written and developed by experts in their field and is designed to give pupils every opportunity to develop their ability, nurture their talents and interests, express their ideas and thoughts about the world. The children will develop their knowledge of famous artists, architects and designers. Our scheme of work supports pupils to meet the National curriculum end of key stage attainment targets and has been written to fully cover the National Society for Art and Design’s progression competencies.
